Coastal Tree Felling is a fully qualified Level 3 arborist with over twenty four years of experience servicing Yatala to Tweed and all the regions in between since they commenced business in 1992. We offer a comprehensive range of tree services such as; tree felling, palm trimming & removal, stump grinding, mulching and 24/7 emergency services. So if you are worried about storm and high wind damage resulting in falling trees and branches, or have a tree that has now got old and is dying, we are here to help .. efficiently, cleanly and quickly. Maybe you have purchased a property with a ‘nuisance’ tree or trees and also found some old tree stumps just sitting under the grass surface? These are the tasks we specialise in. 24/7 Emergency Services
Storms and unexpected acts of nature can very quickly create serious dangerous situations where trees are concerned.
We are available 24/7 for emergencies such as cutting up fallen trees, removing branches that may be a potential power line hazard, removing branches or trees that are potentially ready to break off and cause damage to property, livestock or persons, clearing trees from roadways and driveways.
Chipper Hire
If you have felled trees and/or branches on your property that may be too big to remove by a trailer, we can offer, on a ‘hire only basis’ our 20-inch chipper.
Because of the potential danger to unskilled operators, we are required to provide experienced operators on an hourly/daily rate.
They will chop them up, recycle them and either leave them on the property for you to use as mulch (if suitable) or decorative garden topping. If not required, we can also remove all waste for you.
Mulching
This is an integral part of tree felling. We have a Vermeer BC1800 mulcher that efficiently turns trees into garden mulch.
We can leave you with the mulch or take it with us for disposal. If you would like to keep it, we can place the neat pile in any area our small tipper truck can get to. However, there are some trees that are not good mulch and will cause harm to your vegetation. We will give you all the advice you need about the tree variety when we are on-site.
Tree felling is a 100% recycling operation (treecycling) which in most instances, greatly minimizes or even totally eliminates the high transport and dump fees which can be incurred in the removal of whole trees and/or cuttings

The removal of large trees is not as simple as cutting them down. You only need to see a few of the clips on YouTube to be convinced of that.

Most people think that large trees are solid and sturdy but that is not often the case and they can be extremely hazardous to the tree felling crew.
There are often parts of the branches and/or trunk that have hidden rot or other weak points caused by the environment. That is a primary reason why a ‘high climber’ needs specific and intense training on how to climb safely, what dangers to look out for and how to effectively employ abseiling techniques to ensure personal safety. Coastal Tree Felling’s owner/manager James has had such training together with many years of subsequent experience. This ensures your tree felling is done safely, efficiently and quickly.

Well maintained trees that have an ongoing maintenance schedule look fabulous and will have a long pest and disease free life.
Our professional arborists will ensure that your trees are trimmed keeping them healthy and looking good. If required, trimmings can be mulched and left with you for use around your garden.

Commercial Maintenance Programs
Apartment complexes and high rise buildings all have a considerable number of trees. On the Gold Coast, many of these are palms which can very quickly grow out of reach of the domestic tree lopping tools.
Coastal Tree Felling offer a comprehensive maintenance schedule at a fixed monthly/annual cost whereby we will regularly attend to all palms, trees (and shrubs if required) on a regular basis so as to never have them looking like they need a cleanup.

Palm Cleaning & Removal
Palm Cleaning
Palms are a great tree and thrive in our conditions, but there are many varieties of palms around and with that, there are various levels of maintenance required.
But we all know that they can very quickly look untidy with the appearance of palm nuts, seed pods and dead (or dying) fronds. In many instances, mature palms are far too high for your domestic lopping tools and that is where we come in handy.
Coastal Tree Felling can expertly trim and clean your palm trees to ensure that they remain healthy and beautiful to look at.
Palm Removal
In instances where your palms have grown too big or have become diseased, or are just simply in the way of a new landscaping plan, we can quickly and cleanly remove them leaving your property just as if the palm/s was never there.
Palm removal is not as easy as one might first think and there are also palms that will secret a sap when cut which can kill surrounding vegetation quicker than weed kill.
Better to be safe than sorry and you will be pleasantly surprised at just how little it will cost you for the complete removal of a palm. There is no job too big or too small for us to handle.
